The name did not officially become Wilson Hartnell until 1972 when the public relations division of Wilson, Hartnell & Company had become successful enough to stand alone as their own brand and public relations agency. In addition to general public relations responsibilities, Wilson Hartnell is recognized by their peers as masters of brand strategy, strategic counsel, content creation, and staging headline-grabbing events. Chief Executive Brian Bell has been a loyal employee to the company since 1989, and he now serves as a director of the Ogilvy Group in addition to his role leading Wilson Hartnell.
